Most completed projects provide compensation. The amount varies by format, length, topic and experience required. Joining, receiving an invitation or completing a screener does not guarantee selection or payment. Eligibility may depend on project criteria, verification, available quotas and timing. Before you agree, we will explain the activity, expected time, compensation, payment method and anticipated payment timing.

Megan Thompson, Founder
Megan leads Real Health Research from North Alabama. Her experience building and operating an independent clinical-research site within a community medical setting showed her how often the patient, caregiver and healthcare-professional voice is missing from important decisions.
She created The Real Health Community to make participation more personal, respectful and transparent while giving healthcare research teams access to thoughtfully screened, real-world perspectives.

What to know before you join.
Is this a clinical trial?
No. Real Health Research connects people with paid healthcare market-research opportunities such as surveys, interviews, focus groups and advisory discussions. We do not provide treatment or enroll people in clinical trials.
Will I be paid?
Most opportunities offer compensation for your time. The amount depends on the project length, format, audience and level of expertise required. You will know the compensation before agreeing to participate.
Do I have to participate every time?
No. Joining the community only gives us permission to contact you about possible opportunities. You may accept or decline any invitation.
Why might verification be required?
Research clients need confidence that participants have the relevant health experience or professional background. Verification is proportionate to the project and may include knowledge-based questions, redacted documentation, identity review or professional credentials.
Will this affect my medical care?
No. Joining or declining an opportunity will not affect your healthcare, benefits, relationship with a medical practice or eligibility for other services.
Who receives my information?
Your community profile is used to identify potential matches. We do not provide identifiable information to a research client unless you agree to the specific opportunity and the minimum information is needed for scheduling or project administration.
